- Carrying out the directives of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh city on removing the units in the inner city and with the motto “accept the challenges to improve the competition capacity”, to meet the requirements of the city in combination with the scale expansion, VTB has set up a plan for the investment in the construction of a manufacturing factory of Electronics, Electrics products in Vinh Loc Industrial park. After a complete preparation period in finance and the investment procedures, on 07 June 2008, the ground breaking ceremony for the factory construction was officialy carried out.

The factory was constructed on a land of 12.300 m2, the total floor construction area is 10.788m2, total investment for the infrastructure construction is 2,6 million USD (equivalent to 42 billions Vietnam dong). Total investment for the equipment is 5 million USD (equivalent to 81 billions Vietnam dong), consisting of : electronics 1 million USD, cooling electrics: 4 millions USD. The design capacity is as follows: Electronics: 200,000 products/year, household electrics: 125,000 products/year.
The construction is divided into two stages. The first stage shall start from today, investment in the construction of factory 1 – Electronics factory  on an area of 5,000m2, carried out in 06 months. The second stage is for the investment in the construction of factory 2 – Cooling electricts factory, area of 7,300m2, expectedly starts in July 2008.

- The factory is invested with a complete infrastructure system to guarantee an advanced, modern industrial production with convenietn environmetn for doing business and working.
- It can be said that, this is an important event in the development period of VTB. At the same time, it confirms the strong potential and the capacity of making efforts to bring VTB from an electronics company to a multi-functional production company consisting of Electronics, cooling electrics and information technology to step by step confirm its position and prestige in the domestic and international market.
